nextstep Meeting Minutes, Village News The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Menands, held on Monday, October 17th, 2016 was called to order by Mayor Megan Grenier at 6:00 P.M. PRESENT: Megan Grenier, Mayor Steve Boulet, Trustee Diane Foley, Trustee Seth H. Harris, Trustee Aileen Nicoll, Trustee John P. Berry, Jr., Village Clerk William T. Smith, Jr., Village Treasurer Stephen Rehfuss, Village Attorney Paul Reuss, Exec Asst to Mayor Also attending: Bill Garvey, Brian Marsh, John Stangle, Paul Cooney, Bill Nevins, Rick Rogozinski, and Tom Coates. The Mayor led the Pledge of Allegiance. Open Forum: Resident Brian Marsh asked if the paving project was complete. Executive Assistant Reuss responded. The Board and the residents had a discussion of their concerns on the proposed Van Rensselaer Blvd. Project. Public comments need to be sent in by October 17, 2016. Resident Bill Garvey was happy to see that the Tobacco Free Signs were up in the park. He also commented on two other items. A motion was made by Trustee Harris, seconded by Trustee Nicoll to accept the minutes of the October 3rd, 2016 Board Meeting. Trustee Harris made a motion to declare Police Car # 936 2014 Ford Police Interceptor (VIN # 1FAHP2MKXEG118132) Mileage 129,078 as surplus, seconded by Trustee Nicoll. ADOPTED: Trustee Boulet voting AYE Trustee Foley voting AYE Trustee Harris voting AYE Trustee Nicoll voting AYE Mayor Grenier voting AYE Trustee Nicoll offered the following resolution authorizing the Clerk of the Justices of the Village of Menands Justice Court to apply for the maximum JCAP Funding, the resolution was seconded by Trustee Boulet. ADOPTED: Trustee Boulet voting AYE Trustee Foley voting AYE Trustee Harris voting AYE Trustee Nicoll voting AYE Mayor Grenier voting AYE The Clerk reminded everyone that the Youth Halloween Party is scheduled for Sunday, October 30th, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. The children will line-up at 12:30 P.M. at the Firehouse for the parade to the Ganser Smith Park for food, refreshments, a balloonist, and a face painter. Help is always needed and appreciated. At 6:50 P.M. Trustee Harris made a motion, seconded by Trustee Boulet to enter into Executive Session to discuss a legal matter.
