Fire Tip:

A major cause of home fires is lint from your dryer.  As clothes dry, lint from the clothes is expelled into lint filter and dryer exhaust vent.  The dryer vent should be clean at least once every 6 months or more often depending on the amount the dryer is used.  Cleaning is fairly easy to complete, pull out the dryer, remove the hose, vacuum out any lint that has accumulated.  While cleaning, check the vent housing on the side of the house.  Make sure that vent opening is clear.
