Mayor Meg Grenier, Officer Andrew Cohen and Chief Michael O'Brien

On Sunday February 26, 2012 Officer Andy Cohen was presented with an award at the Colonie Elks Lodge 2192 by Chief Michael O’Brien at the annual Law and Order Breakfast Ceremony.

In February of 2011 Officer Cohen responded to a fire at the Village One Apartments. Officer Cohen was advised that there was a woman trapped in the bathroom.  Officer Cohen pulled the woman to safety and  began CPR until Colonie EMS took over treatment of the patient.

After undergoing months of treatment the woman has returned to her apartment.
