On November 10th from 12:00-4:00pm, Menands will be holding a Military Appreciation Parade and Picnic. The Parade will step off at the Riverview Center at 12 noon and will continue down Broadway, heading north, ending at the Capital District Farmers Market, 381 Broadway. At the Market there will be food, carnival games, raffles, music and a cake walk.
Any active duty military and veterans are invited to participate in the parade and picnic. Please meet at the Riverview center at 11:00 am if you are able to participate. For those that are not able to march transportation will be provided. Proceeds to benefit Wounded Warriors, USO, and Blue Star Mothers.
