5/13/14 Senior Trip-Wilderstein Mansion

  April 7, 2014

A trip to WILDERSTEIN MANSION, Rhinebeck, NY, is planned. Wilderstein, is the family home of
“Daisy” Suckley, President Roosevelt’s sixth cousin and his alleged lover. When Roosevelt was in Hyde Park, he would take Daisy for drives and they would explore the Hudson Valley together.
The décor of WILDERSTEIN, is over-the top, breathtaking. “Daisy,” left the house and all its contents; books, photographs, art, china, and furniture, which range from ordinary to exquisite. After visiting the mansion, we will have a buffet luncheon complete with sundae bar, at the White Stone Café, Ghent, NY. We will return approx. 4:00pm. Cost is $30.
